Ben Kane
An art project that ran for two years featuring the 24/7 live streaming of a small group of chickens on Vancouver Island.
It was broadcast in full HD video using 4 cameras and multi-stereo high quality audio on Twitch and YouTube.
Viewers could interact with the livestream in real time using chat commands, including: sending treats, remote-controlling a head of lettuce that could be “magically” summoned into frame, changing camera views, and performing various other functions on screen.
I did all the construction, coding and electronics using Particle Argon IoT development boards, OBS, IP cameras, and spare parts. I also collected the eggs and learned a lot about caring for backyard chickens.
“Goodbye” Reel
This reel was created as part of a longer sequence that was broadcast on the last day of the livestream, as a final, somewhat nostalgic, “farewell” to the subscribers.
I was constantly adding to and upgrading the systems and on-camera features of the channel. This video shows BokBok Station in various stages of development throughout its run.

BokBok Station Promo (1:00)
Numerous promos were made for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. This is one of the earlier ones from 2022.
BokBok Station Mini Promo (0:18)
Another example of the style of promos made for various social media platforms. An absurd mix of supremely boring and overly exciting.
